Wow it's been a while since I've blogged so bare with me! We took a family vacation to Disneyland in November. We drove from Boise to SLC, Utah on Saturday November the 14TH. We stayed the night at Grandpa and Grandma Wilkey's house and got up early Sunday morning to finish the drive to California. The 11 hour drive ended up being around 15 hours!!! Needless to say we were all very happy to be out of the van! We met my little sister Amy and her family and my Mom and my older sister Candice there.
The picture below was taken in the main lobby of our hotel, The Paradise Pier.
The is a picture taken from our room. We had a great view of California Adventure.
Our kids had so much cooped up energy that we decided to take them to Downtown Disney to walk around. The first store that we walked through was Lego Land.
Trenton and Garrett were in Lego Heaven! This was the first time I had been to Disneyland at Christmas time. It was so beautiful! Everything is completely decked out in Christmas.
Trenton and Garrett hurried and snuck a picture with Eeyore. He was on his way back to his picture spot and the kids grabbed him. It was kinda nice. The lines for pictures with the characters were really long.
Abby was so excited to see the Princess's. We waited in line for over an hour! She really wanted to see Cinderella & Jasmin. When you turn the corner to see them it's like a slot machine. You get to see who ever is not on break at the time. I was a little sad for her. She didn't even care to see Princess Mulan. At first Abby wouldn't let Mulan sign her autograph book, but we finally got Abby to let her sign it.
The kids in front of Minnie Mouse's house with Minnie.
Chris really wanted a picture of Abby kissing the Cheshire Cat, but the one we took with her kissing it was blurry.
JEDI TRAINING! This was probably one of the biggest highlights for Trenton at Disneyland. This was the first thing we did when we got to Disneyland. Trenton was so excited that he got picked.
Darth Vader and Darth Maul came out of a platform from under ground. It was pretty cool.
This picture is of Trenton's cousin Brendon. He was fighting Darth Maul.
Here's Trenton fighting Darth Vader. Go Trenton!
Storm Troopers
This was the Jedi Master that led the kids in the training. Trenton and Brendon are standing together just below the Jedi Master.
Abby loves water! She loved this big water ball!
So did Trenton and Garrett.
The Fairy Godmother was the first character that was saw. Abby was not going to get to close.
Here are the kids with Winnie The Pooh. Abby was so cute. She kept grabbing Poohs neck to kiss him. When it was time to leave, Pooh Bear blew Abby kisses. The Winnie The Pooh ride was Abby's favorite. We took her on it 3 times.
The kids had a good time seeing all the characters. Abby was excited to see Tiger, but when we got next to him, it scared her a little.
Donald Duck was the main character that Garret wanted to see. We finally got a picture with him on our last day.
Here is Abby with Baloo at Goofy's Kitchen. We had reservations for Tuesday the 17TH. It also happened to be Amy's birthday. It was fun because several of the characters walked around and would come to our table for pictures with the kids. My kids favorite part was that since it was Goofy's Kitchen, they got to eat whatever they wanted for breakfast. You name it they had it. (Hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, smoked salmon, cookies, cakes and then they had normal breakfast stuff).
Garrett loves Chip and Dale, so he was so excited to see them!
Here's Goofy with my kids.
This was a model car right outside of Goofy's kitchen. Abby loved being the driver.
Here we are at the main entrance to Disneyland.
We love Mickey!
Disneyland was so beautiful at night time. Here are a few pictures of some of the attractions decorated with Christmas lights.
