October Craft Group

I am in a craft group with several other ladies. Each month someone is in charge of hosting and organizing a craft. We all got to vote on what we wanted to make. October, I was in charge of making Trick or Treat bags. My mother in law made these last year for my kids and I thought it would be a cute idea to share.
I think everyone did a great job!

SCOOBY DOOBY DOO...WHERE ARE YOU?
Here we are with the Giles. This is our 3rd year in a row dressing up with them. It's fun to have partners in the silliness!
Angela and I reserved the room and sent out the e-vites. We had a pretty good turn out. It's always fun to see what everyone will dress up as.

Conference October 2009

We had our traditional conference breakfast again this year. This has been on going for over 5 years. We meet on Sunday morning for breakfast at someones house and all leave on time for Conference to start. This year the Furhrimans hosted.

The Wilkeys, Giles, Dodds, Johnsons, Fuhrimans, Pruetts, and Millers gathered to eat this time.

September 11 Girls Tirip To McCall

Monica planned a fun over night trip to McCall at her Grandma's condo. Good times! It was nice to just hang out, eat out and not have to worry about kids or cooking!Angela was pretty good about setting her camera up, so she didn't have to miss any of the pictures.

Angie brought the stuff to make a really yummy Brazilian drink. We had fun talking until 3:00am!
Breakfast time! We ate at the Pancake House. It was sooo good! Angela ordered 1 cinnamon roll for an appetizer and between the five of us we didn't even finish it. It was huge!

I of course ordered an omelet! It was very yummy!

September 10 "Pears"

As if Peaches were not enough, Angela and I also canned Pears. I think we do our best canning late at night! We finished with the Pears at 2:00 am. Angela got 14 quarts and I got 17.
Good times!

Corn Maze = Fall fun!

September 28Th we met several other families at the Pumpkin Patch. This has been a tradition for our family since Trenton was 1. Each year it seems something has changed or they have added a few things, but some things that are always there are the Hay maze, Hay rides, Pumpkins and of course the Corn Maze! Garrett was so red in the face from running as fast as he could through the hay maze.
Abby had a good time following her daddy and brothers.
Onto to the Corn Maze! The path was pretty bumpy, so Chris and I took turns carrying Abby. Trenton and Garrett could not resist using the corn stalks as light sabers
Abby decided she was going to join in!
Abby took many breaks from walking.
When we got to the Pumpkin Patch, Abby was so excited to see they had swings! She loves to swing!
Trenton enjoyed the inflatable slide.
So did Garrett!

Dad was the pumpkin holder.

Peaches!

Angela and I got peaches at the Caldwell Church Orchard for $10/bushel. We picked them ourselves. We also picked for the church. We filled one of their huge white bins. We wore aprons that were supposed to hold a bushel but I think it held more. We bottled 28 quarts each. For the last few years we have canned at my house. This year we canned at Angela's house. I can't help but smile at the finished product! It's a such a good feeling to know we are adding to our food storage! We started in the afternoon and then took a break for a few hours and then started again around 9:30 pm and finished at 1:00 am.
I was so sad! My first jar of peaches broke while processing. I'm sure it won't be the last! I was pretty wiped out by the end!

Day off from School!

We met the Giles for a picnic and the Discovery Center on Friday Sept. 4Th. The boy's were out of school that day. Then we went to Sonic happy hour for 1/2 price slushies. Trenton and Tate were with us but you wouldn't know if by the photos. They were off on their own the whole time!
The kids ate lunch and then played in the trees. There were tree pods that Trenton and Tate were gathering and hiding. Garrett loved playing with them.
Abby and Ty were so funny with the air blower at the Discovery Center. It didn't take them long to put their faces over it.
Londyn and Ty taking turns at the air blower.
What cute forecasters!
Garrett's favorite part at the Discovery Center is the grocery store. He was the checker and loved it!
Londyn loves to shop!
